A Viewer Writes: Open Letter To PayPal

Dear PayPal CEO,

In my opinion, North Carolina made a final business decision here that was good for every business currently operating in the State. The proposed LGBT legislation would effectively force every venue that has multiple user restrooms whether they are public or private to install a third single use bathroom, putting an undue financial obligation on all such businesses and public venues.

Without passing this legislation, it leaves all businesses in the State free to install a single use bathroom if they so choose in their business to attract LGBT people if they wish, and if they don’t care to, the LGBT crowd is left free to do business elsewhere if they wish. Heck, even PayPal is still welcome to go there and outfit their building with plumbing as they wish without any interference from the Government.

Freedom, imagine that!

This nothing but a wise business decision on North Carolina’s part, choosing individual freedom over Government regulation, and it makes it abundantly clear to me how much I absolutely don’t need to do business through PayPal! I can pay almost any merchant online directly with my credit card and my credit card company already protects me from fraud and theft. PayPal always seemed like a “third leg” to me, anyway!

So, goodbye, PayPal! I cancelled my account yesterday, and told your CSR it was because, “North Carolina”!

Sadly, you people that are stuck in the good ole days of the 1950's just don't get it. Your dropping Paypal is not going to hurt Paypal. Your credit card company supports LGBT rights as do most all of the merchants you purchase products from. I suggest you cut the credit cards up too. Before you respond that I must be gay or a democrat or ignorant or stupid, let it be known that I am a registered republican, educated, wealthy and straight. The world has changed. You have the choice to be bitter and angry or to accept change and move forward. If a man wants to wear a dress so be it and if a woman wants to dress as a man and wear work boots, I really don't care.

I cancelled my paypal account yesterday too. I can't do business with people that promote perversion.

It does not do that at all.

1:25 - Such a wise person! Thank you for setting the ignorant free from ignorance. So glad you took the time edumacating us Mr. Straight Well Educated Wealthy Republican. If more people start acting rather than preaching we would not have to do business with chumps and watch racist actors/actresses and so on. We could create more positive healthy change instead of the progressive gutter change you seem to accept so easily.

1:25 So people are bitter and angry if they don't agree with YOU about LGBT issues? I think you need to accept the fact that many people do not agree with you.

You people are crazy. There is no doubt in my mind that LGBT people have been using the bathroom that best suits them since before I was born over 60 years ago and I don't care. and something else if somebody came into my business and wanted a cake or printed materials etc that didn't appeal to me I would produce it anyway.I am a businessman not an imam or some other religious leader. Get control over your emotions and your minds.

2:29 - They are bitter and angry about times changing. Has nothing to do with whether they agree me or not. Your reading comprehension skills have much to be desired.

Well said 12:30.

2:30 Wow. You would produce something that didn't appeal to you? Where would you draw the line? Does $ mean more to you than standards and values?

A man just walked into the ladies' locker room at a swim club in Seattle the other day during a busy time of the day and undressed. He didn't say anything or show any behaviors that would indicate he was 'feeling pretty today'.. he just came in and took off his clothes.
And there's NOTHING anyone could do about it.

PayPal headquarters is in San Fransisco the home of the queer movement, we need to go out there with a Ryder truck full of fertilizer, and park it in front of their building and, they will pay attention then!

The big bad shorebilly is scared that the lil girlie man might think he is cute.....Too funny. You are not even on their radar. Majority are educated professionals with money. They have no desire to mingle with the likes of you.

Everyone is worried about their children. Trust me if someone touches your child they will get the same ass beating from you or the prison folk under the new bathroom rules as they would the old. Times have changed, different/Wierd/abnormal things to you and me are now accepted. 99% of the time it will have no effect or influence on your day to day life. These groups make up less than 1% of the population. Stop worrying about crap that will really have no affect on your life. Worry about your own family, jobs, house, retirement, etc

The majority of children are molested by a person known to them, not a stranger.

I don't want a man in the bathroom with me. ITS NOT NORMAL.....ITS CREEPY! I bet most men don't want a woman in their bathroom either.

2:30, it's your business so you can bake the cake or whatever the people want....that's your choice. If they come to my business and I choose not to, that's my choice. You run your business as you see fit and I'll run mine how I choose, regardless of your thoughts

10:47 yes!

@1:25 You are right about not hurting PayPal by cancelling our accounts but that is our choice what we do with our money. But you are wrong about being a Republican. You are a liberal at heart my friend. Go change your affiliation. I have two questions for you. If it is only 1% of the population why are the other 99% having to conform ? Did you ever think that maybe people aren't just set in their ways...maybe we are trying to hold onto morals. I am a woman. I do NOT want to use the bathroom with a dude in a dress. Why is that a problem? ?

1:25 they can be who they choose to be but down ask society to bow down cause thats what they want. No matter how u cut slice or dice it it is inappropriate for a man w/ a package or a removed one to be in the bathroom w/ a little girl. Females perpetrating male frauds too! The world is dangerous enough, now people want to add to it. Any sexual predator can dress the part & then prey if we allow this.

Forget beating someone s tail after my child is hurt the damage is done. Just build a transgender bathroom paid by their cause. Shouldnt matter since thy scream it loud & proud.

@10:30 Almost all children that are molested are victims of a person they know, not a stranger in a restroom.

My question is, why do most conservative talking points and legislation revolve around sexuality? It's an obsession, and disturbing to say the least.
