Maryland House passes bill barring smoking pot in vehicles

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Maryland House of Delegates has voted to make it a criminal misdemeanor to smoke marijuana in vehicles.

The House voted 139-0 for the bill Friday. It now goes to the Senate.

The bill initially would have applied to public spaces, but that provision was taken out by the House Judiciary Committee.

It is just another way for the cops to keep pulling you over for the simple smell of pot... Like they have always been doing...

This is just to fight back against the mild decriminalized stance for marijuana they passed a year or so ago, then they removed paraphernalia as a charge so that would ultimately stop cops from being able to search you or pull you over for the mere smell of weed...

You slaves will never be free, so don't think you are... When someone can tell you what to put in your own body, you are a slave...

It amazes me at where our "representative's" minds are. With all of the real problems that we have as a state they still find the time to dwell on such foolishness. This law is redundant and covered by already existing statutes.
Governor Hogan please veto this, it has nothing at all to do with benefiting the people of the state.

And this law will make what better?

The next person that runs for office in Maryland and promises not to vote on any new laws in this State will have my vote. There are thousands of new laws proposed for this session and we don't need either one of them.
