A Viewer Writes: Shooting In Sharptown

Joe I read the other day about a shoot out and attempted robbery in Sharptown. Someone said it was like Iraq in town. What happened with this? Why was this kept quiet? I heard it was quite a commotion. Did some digging on the sheriffs web site and sure enough a shots fired call on the 2nd of January. Folks in town said a car accident happened with this.

Obviously you spoke to the wrong people, it's amazing how this stuff gets blown up. Yes there was shooting as a result of some "baby mama drama", one "baby daddy" shot up the vehicle of "baby daddy" #2. Yes it could have been much more serious, fortunately it was not. No attempted robbery to my knowledge.

Drug rip-off case, two guys, both armed with M-16 rifles went to "collect" from local weed dealer then all hell broke loose with a car chase through the middle of town. An arrest has been made but do not know why it has been kept on the down low.

Duh.Does a continuing investigation where everything is intentionally kept quiet until all involved parties have been dealt with give anyone a clue to why this is kept on the down low?

m-16 , I don't think so , that's a military weapon , not available.

sounds like none of you know what you are talking about with the differences in the above posts.

9:03am
.. to the general public through conventional sales.

10:59 really? Are you serious? Since when has m-16's become available to the general public through conventional sales? I've not seen any at my local gun shop or gander mountain? Please clarify as to what you are talking about? For as long as I remember m-16s and the m-4 combat carbine aren't available to the general public? What are you talking about because clearly you have no clue. The only way "we the general public" can purchase a m-16/m-4 rifle is getting a class 3 firearms license/permit which is very very hard to obtain. So please enlighten us to what you are referring too?

Would love to know where you got your info

Funny this isn't what happened glad everyone seems to know what went on when they weren't around

Might have been an AR-15. I understand the state police picked up a lot of cartridges up off the street in front of the bank.

I agree 100%

Yup I heard the same thing and bullets out of the building across the street as well from rumor it will come out eventually I get sick of all the hear say and stupid people not knowing any actual details and posting stupid comments

A huge difference, between an AR-15 and an M-16. Both are "scary looking". That's where the resemblance ends.

Looks like the Eastern Shore is becoming the Wild West circa 1800s. And yet, it's all taken so nonchalantly. Amazing. Guess it's the times we live in.

Ummm does AR 15 ring any bells? AR is same as M-16

Anonymous said...

Well, yeah, if you ignore the fact that one is fully automatic and the other is semi-automatic.

Can be changed quickly.

It was a blood bath.

With a bump stock an AR 15 is auto.

It was the local drug dealer. Drug deal gone wrong. It's a good thing his children weren't present. His wife does daycare/works for the Postal system and the house is full of drugs, along with the vacant house next door. It's only a matter of time before he's caught.
