Worcester County Sheriff's Office Press Release 11-30-15

On November 29, 2015 at approximately 1538 hours a deputy from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office stopped a Jeep driven by Mr. Justin B Henkel,Portsmouth, Virginia, for exceeding the posted speed limit of 55 miles per hour, in the area of Route 113 in Snow Hill.

Upon making contact with Mr. Henkel, it was learned that he was driving on a suspended out of state drivers license and was wanted through the State of Michigan for failing to appear for a court date for a possession of Marijuana charge.

During the stop, Mr. Henkel was asked to step from the vehicle and upon speaking with him, the deputies could smell the odor of Marijuana on his person.

During a search of the vehicle and Mr. Henkel’s person, a small amount of Marijuana and Cocaine were located along with numerous items of paraphernalia associated with the use of the narcotics.

Mr. Henkel was taken into custody and was released on an unsecured bond by the District Court Commissioner.It was also determined that warrant out of Michigan was not able to be served in Maryland.
