Incident: Warrant Arrest

Date of Incident: 17 July 2015

Location: Wicomico County, MD

Suspect: Karon Malik Washington, 18, Fruitland, MD
                               
Narrative: On 17 July 2015 at 1:00PM, a deputy arrested Karon Washington on a Circuit Court Bench Warrant that was issued the previous day. The warrant was issued after Washington violated the terms of his probation in a case where he had been adjudicated guilty for Assault 2nd Degree.

Washington was detained on a bond of $10,000.00 in the Detention Center pending an appearance in front of a Circuit Court Judge.

The Maryland State Apprehension Team assisted with this apprehension.

Incident: DUI / Assault

Date of Incident: 16 July 2015

Location: 28000 block of Adkins Road, Salisbury, MD

Suspect: Brian Lee Kellam, 33, Delmar,MD
                               
Narrative: On 16 July 2015 at 7:22PM a deputy responded to the 28000 block of Adkins Road for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a subject identified as Brian Kellam behind the wheel of a vehicle with the engine running while others were attempting to keep what would be discovered to be a visibly intoxicated Kellam from driving away. The deputy instructed Kellam to exit the vehicle but he refused and appeared determined to drive away which required the deputy to assist Kellam with exiting the vehicle. Upon exiting the vehicle Kellam charged the deputy which precipitated a struggle as the deputy attempted to taken Kellam into custody. During the struggle, Kellam grabbed a hold of his wife’s legs and pulled her down to the ground.

The deputy continued to engage in a struggle with Kellam in an attempt to taken him into custody while Kellam actively fought those efforts. Upon the arrival of additional deputies Kellam was taken into custody.

Kellam was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken infront of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Kellam in the Detention Center in lieu of $20,000.00 bond.
