This suspect was nabbed due to response to the photos by the public. Not a lot of detective work was necessary, other than answering the phone, corroborating witness testimony with an already existing file photo of the individual, and a trip to the commissioner's office for the warrant.
Not rocket science or Holmesian powers of deduction necessary here.

9:26 - Quick response and putting info out quickly is part of good police work. So, I think that should be mentioned.
