The governor hasn't said if he will spend the money.
Last week he was worried the education spending and another 70-million dollars added to the budget would add to the state's structural deficit next year.
On Maryland's News This Week, Senate Budget Committee Vice Chairman Rich Madaleno said the structural deficit is the result of lawmakers being required to project spending five years into the future, and funding schools now is a bigger priority.

Please cut them. We have all had to make tough choices over the last couple of years and the boe has grown and will continue to grow. We must say no now.
If you are talking the largest school systems in Maryland, then that would be Montgomery County. Lots of 1% live there so just have them ante up. No need to punish the rest of us.

I want to direct my tax dollars to go to schools that actually educate! School vouchers now!!.lets shake up the system. It is the only way to change it
Improve the economy so parents can teach their kids at home like they did way back then. Kids were actually much smarter using common sense than those today. Kids of the early 1900s could at least survive on their own if they had to. Not today.
Apparently they don't know that ed budgets aren't cut. Merely NO ADDITIONAL funding!
