Governor-Elect Hogan Announces Cabinet Secretaries, Senior Appointments, Official Staff


 
ANNAPOLIS, MD – January 15, 2015 – Governor-elect Larry Hogan announced today several additional Cabinet secretary appointments as well as over a dozen official staff members during a press conference today in Annapolis.

"I am very proud of the great team we have assembled," said Governor-elect Hogan. "I want to thank all of them for their willingness to serve the people of Maryland and move our state forward." 

The governor-elect announced Senator David Brinkley as Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management. Senator Brinkley served in the Maryland General Assembly from 1994 to 2014 and was elected to leadership roles in both the House and the Senate.

In addition to the announcement of DBM Secretary, Governor-elect Hogan announced Sam Maholtra as Secretary of Human Resources, Jennie Hunter-Cevera as Acting Secretary of the Maryland Higher Education Commission, Clay Stamp as Director of the Maryland Emergency Management Agency, and Luis Borunda as Deputy Secretary of State. 

The governor-elect also announced seventeen staff members. They include:

Steve Crim – Director of Public Affairs
Senator Marty Madden – Senior Adviser to the Governor
Amanda O'Malley – Deputy Chief of Staff
Mike Richard – Deputy Chief of Staff
Roy McGrath – Special Assistant to the Governor & Liaison to Board of Public Works
Brad Peganoff – Director of the Governor's District of Columbia Office
Adam Dubitsky – Policy Director
Mark Newgent – Deputy Policy Director
Wendy Hershey – Executive Services Director
Steve DeBoy – Legislative Officer
Chris Carroll – Legislative Officer
Matt Clark – Communications Director
Doug Mayer – Deputy Communications Director
Erin Montgomery – Press Secretary
Shareese DeLeaver Churchill – Press Secretary
Hannah Marr – Deputy Press Secretary
Lorena Rivera – Deputy Press Secretary​
