President Obama will sit down with BET Networks to discuss calls for criminal justice reform after two controversial grand jury decisions cleared white officers in the death of black men.
In a special segment, "BET News Presents: A Conversation with President Barack Obama," the president will help find meaningful solutions to unrest after the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner sparked nationwide protests.
"This isn't going to be solved overnight," Obama said in an excerpt of the interview to air Dec. 8 at 6 p.m.
The interview, hosted by BET host and TV journalist Jeff Johnson, marks the president's first network discussion outlining his strategy to investigate the incidents and ways the country can unify during this time.

There was nothing "controversial" about the Grand Juries'findings. The worst racist here is Ob'.. (Well, maybe tied for first place.)
Can you just imagin the screaming if we tried to have a WET channel (White Entertainment Television)!!
No, racism is in His heart, no mine...
We have racists in this country alright. There's about ten of them. Everybody else wants to get along.
5:27 That's a great joke. If you're not joking then you're very naive.
Although with some, racism is alive & well, most of us rail against it. That being said, the unfortunate Ferguson situation was anything but racial, yet the leader of our country insists on it being so. Having a race-baiter as a frequent guest @ the White House tells a lot, as well. So glad the NYC family has told Sharpton to stay away!
I just read an article where the lawyer for the Rice family, Mr. Crump, has recommended that the officer who shot Tamir Rice be indicted without it going to the grand jury because grand juries don't return indictments against police.
I have one question about this lawyer. How daggone many states is he licensed to practice law in now. He was in Florida with Trayvon Martin. He was in Missouri with the Brown family. He was in New York with the Garner family. Now he is in Ohio with the Rice family. I find it hard to believe that the man is licensed to practice law in all of those states. What is up with that? I know ole race baiter Sharpton can follow the crowd but he doesn't practice anything but stirring the pot.
He is claiming now that he is going to "stay on this." He says his thoughts go back to when he was 17, 18, or 20 and he hears their pain of being constantly looked at suspiciously and being stopped for no reason.
Did he also roam around and surround vehicles and either beat on the stopped vehicle until the driver exits the car in which case he is beaten to death with hammers, or like the new case simply snatch the lady out of the car and beat her unconscious and leave her there.
I don't understand how this behavior just gets "not mentioned" like it doesn't happen. Listen to the rap video's that have been made in Salisbury and Cambridge.
"We know you have a job, so we are just going to come take your shit," was the basic premise of the one in Salisbury. Plus sell all the drugs and carry all the guns we want.
The two that I saw that were made in Cambridge were even worse. And these are just local videos. Look at what is on the national music scene.
But no one can understand why these poor young teenagers are looked at suspiciously. Why people have no sympathy for Michael Brown. And yes, that is correct. I have none for Michael Brown. He wanted to live the thug live and make the rap videos and show everybody what a bad ass he was. Live like a thug, die like a thug. I don't have the least pang of sympathy for him. Why should I? Because he was a human being. If he caught me out in his neighborhood after dark would he treat me as a human. Hell no. You know it, I know it, and his family knows it also.
O also says the racism is really shown now when we have the video of Mr. Garner being choked out. Another poor black fellow choked out by a white cop. This gentleman, and I'll use the term loosely, had been arrested something like 30 times. 5 police officers come up to him to arrest him and he says, "NO, you are not doing this to me again. Do not put your hands on me." Then when they attempt to put their hands on him he slings his arms out to break their hold. Another small little guy, he looked about 6'2" at least, probably 350 lbs. The little ole cop who put him in the choke hold had to jump up to get his arm around his neck. Their was a black officer in the crew of officers. But once again, lets forget all about what Mr. Garner did wrong and lets just say it was a "racist white cop" who wanted to kill someone.
Before this is over, if someone wasn't a racist they will be.
How much more of the racial division being created by this administration can this country take?!!!
