I called the Daily Times...after many transfers, I spoke with a woman who became extremely defensive about the cartoon--I told her that her paper is part of the problem, that without getting all the facts, they jump on the racist bandwagon, and to research about the injury the officer suffered--she demanded to know my source--I told her there are multiple sources and to look it up. She implied she did not have enough time. I told her to take 2 minutes out of her busy day to look up the facts.

No--not special. Just tired of this country going down the toilet. Nobody will speak up it seems, so I do when I see something that is wrong. I call my congressional representatives, senators, even the White House. Maybe if more people did, this kind of crap might stop!

You forget that the main number at an organization is usually handled by a secretary and not a reporter. She probably gets handed crap all day from people who are irritated by the stupid paper and she feels it is not her job to listen to you whine. Want to make a difference? Write a letter to management. I realize that takes a little more effort...but it does a million times more.
You all are wasting your time.
