All the police have done now is change the color of the uniform and upgrade the weapons.

Goose step all you like. Murder, rape, intimidate, coerce, and beat everyone you can, while you can.
Unlike the Jews and German citizens, we (the people) have guns this time around. LOTS more than you do.
You are serving the wrong master but, like the SS and the Gesatapo in the late 30's and early 40's, life is good for you. Unlimited power, unchallenged authority and a blank check to do whatever you like in the name of "homeland security" (they called it the "Fatherland" -- mere semantics).
But, also, like your predecessors, you will receive no repreive for your actions. "We, the people" will not be accepting any "I'm sorry's", "I didn't know!", or "I was only following orders!".
