Obama Will 'Start to Lose Democrats' with Power Grab

George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley, who self-identifies as a liberal and has supported President Barack Obama on numerous issues, argued that that the president’s attempts to expand the power of the executive branch will “cause serious problems,” and will “start to lose Democrats.”

Turley characterized the Obama administration’s recent defeats at the Supreme Court “an as abysmal 10 days for this administration, the worst of any modern day president,” and added “it doesn't get much worse than this for a president.” Turley argued that today’s Hobby Lobby decision was “a very, very rough decision for the administration.”
