Post Office joins other federal agencies stockpiling over two billion rounds of ammo
The U.S. Postal Service is currently seeking companies that can provide “assorted small arms ammunition” in the near future.
On Jan. 31, the USPS Supplies and Services Purchasing Office posted a notice on theFederal Business Opportunities websiteasking contractors to register with USPS as potential ammunition suppliers for a variety of cartridges.
“The United States Postal Service intends to solicit proposals for assorted small arms ammunition,” the notice reads, which also mentioned a deadline of Feb. 10.
The Post Office published the notice just two days after Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) announced his proposal to remove a federal gun ban that prevents lawful concealed carry holders from carrying handguns inside post offices across the country.
Ironically the Postal Service isn’t the first non-law enforcement agency seeking firearms and ammunition.

Postal workers with guns. Somehow that just doesn't seem right.
Seems like a number of teh Agencies aer arming themselves...
Smoke and mirrors, no postal workers will be armed. This is only a portal/dept the federal admin and their criminals can continue to stove-pipe all ammo...1] to keep patriots from preparing and 2] to have a stock pile when they devise a way to stop all manufacturing of ammo {like what just happened to the last lead smelting plant in the USA}
Right. There ARE a LOT of Postal Inspectors. At LEAST, maybe, what --- five or six thousand?? And there is TONS of violent crime in the mailing of all that junk mail. I can easily see how a few thousand men and women would need enough ammo to shoot every person in the country -- EACH and EVERY one -- about 5-6 times. If those inspectors started firing those rounds right now and fired non-stop until it was gone, how long would it take to run out of ammo? YEARS and YEARS! NOW, do you see why the Postal Service needs two BILLION rounds? Why does everything have to be so hard with you guys??

Just keep shufflin' along, nod your head, and don't make eye contact.
And WHATEVER YOU DO, make dang sure you put the right amount of postage on that package. There could be trouble...
They should have it. Hopefully they will all go "Postal" on each other.

I suspect the govt will stockpile the ammo in various post offices to have it easily available for their SS troops when the rabble (citizens) realize what they are doing to the US and become too difficult.

Anyone who watched the last Naked Gun movie knows how dangerous postal workers can be.Especially when they are heavily armed.
