State Jobless Rate Ticks Up In July

Maryland's jobless rate ticked up in July.

The latest figures were released today by the Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation.

For July the rate increased to 7.1 percent from a figure that was 7 percent even in June.

The U.S. Department of Labor indicated that Maryland job totals declined by more than 9,000.
