Louis Michael Seidman, a professor of constitutional law at Georgetown University, has a simple plan for getting the U.S. back on track: Let’s give up the Constitution.
No, really. That’s the title of his New York Times op-ed. His basic argument is that America is not in a perilous financial crisis because of simple, vapid, and dishonest little men. The U.S. is in trouble because of our unreasonable adherence to an outdated document.
“As the nation teeters at the edge of fiscal chaos, observers are reaching the conclusion that the American system of government is broken. But almost no one blames the culprit: our insistence on obedience to the Constitution, with all its archaic, idiosyncratic and downright evil provisions,” writes Seidman.

Who's this guy? harry ried?
there will always be clueless airheads (especially in academia) that will tout this sort of nonsense. don't feed them; maybe they'll go away...
It's that hope that they will just go away that has caused things to have gotten so out of hand.
The quote is something like "for evil to prosper all that it takes is for good men to do nothing"
They haven't gone away and have just converted others to their insane beliefs. Eventually more drastic measures are going to have to be taken. Just pray that it happens before there are an overwhelming majority of them. Or this country will go the way of every other great empire in history.
Insanity is easy! Lunacy, chaos, it's all a great game to try to make it what you want! Congratulations! You just failed AGAIN at that attempt!!!
Methinks this self proclaimed expert should give up his professorship & find another country in which to live...one that has a better "set up". IDIOT!
The Constitution had nothing to do with this country becoming the greatest and most powerful nation to have EVER EXISTED in a couple of hundred years?? WHERE did he get his credentials from?? I think there needs to be an investigation, Herr Seidman.
I agree with the man 100%.
