Governor Martin O'Malley says he expects to see legislative activity in the week of the mass shooting in Connecticut.
"We can update, change, improve strengthen school security and or gun laws, in order to make children safer," O'Malley told WBAL News in a brief interview in Annapolis Monday.
"You're going to see a lot of bills on those subjects."

No law will make anyone safer. We got laws up the ying yang to no effect.
Laws are just a feel good measure for the illogical timid people. And to make it look like our leaders are doing something.
You don't need gun control, you need people control. That is what kills people. Other people. Other people who are mentally disturbed.
They could care less about any law or sign.
When the 'adults' finally realize this, maybe then some positive and effective measures will be achieved.
Talk and laws have very little value in the reality of gun control. I don't think gun control is a valid phrase anyway.
Unless you mean a tight grouping. That's good gun control.
How about a discussion to use some of the casino revenue t.hat is allegedly for education to be utilized to increase school security.
How about every law abiding citizen carry a Weapon.
The criminal element will get a job than instead of looking for unarmed victims!

Yes. We need more guns, not less guns. If more people carried, we could nip a lot of these types of crimes in the bud.
I read somewhere that cops don't carry guns to protect us. They carry guns to protect themselves.
Why are we not doing the same? Carrying to protect ourselves. We are the only ones who can.
Please shutup u and ur kind will never protect us thats our job n right

Who is 'us' and what is your job? And right? And who are you addressing?
take away guns, the criminals will use something else. leaving the victim left trying to defend at a closer range. Democratics are destroying this country!
