Wal-Mart Fights Back As Black Friday Strike Nears

Wal-Mart Stores Inc is taking its first legal step to stop months of protests and rallies outside Walmart stores, targeting the union that it says is behind such actions.

Wal-Mart late on Thursday filed an unfair labor practice charge against the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, or UFCW, asking the National Labor Relations Board to halt what the retailer says are unlawful attempts to disrupt its business.

The move comes just a week before what is expected to be the largest organized action against the world's largest retailer, as a small group of Walmart workers prepare to strike on Black Friday, typically the busiest shopping day of the year.

Fire the strikers and have the 'temps' ready.

Indeed, unions are a dying breed that has been replaced by federal regulation. Unions do nothing more than drive up prices and thus cancelling out any pay increase employees receive. Fire anyone who is involved in union organizing as they are a cancer to the company.

Unions have a purpose. Places like walmart need to be told how to treat their employees.

Quit if you don't like it there.

I hate walmart. They lobbied hard for the food assistance expansion implimented by obama. They also coach employees how to apply for Medicaid the tax payer funded health care coverage.
We refer to these people on these handouts as Welfare Kings and Queens. Walmart is the Welfare Kingdom.

I have picket signs made up and I don't even work at Wal Mart.I'll be passing them out if WM employees decide to bail.

Get use to the Obama way as he destroys our economy I hope you idiots who voted for him are happy.

I hate walmart because they lend credence to obama's you didn't build that comment. I hate anything/anybody that lends credence to anything obama says or does and I won't be hypocritical and deny. Walmart is the epitome of corporate welfare and crony capitalism and if it weren't for govenment handouts they wouldn't be as big as they are.

I hate all sponges and Walmart sponges off the goverment. It should be tit for tat when you are a sponger and you should give in return.
Since Walmart sponges they should pay workers more so they get paid above poverty level so they don't have to sponge. It's not like Walmart can't afford it.
