A Comment Worthy Of A Post 10-23-12

Maryland Judiciary Case Search has left a new comment on your post "WCSO Press Release 10-8-12":

Joe, please make this front page news again to get the attention of rick politt and the jail admin to know that this needs to be addressed right away. all of us want to know why she wasn't processed? any other suspect of intoxication is held there until they are sober enough to see a commissioner. she doesn't even have a bond. this is favoritism. she still drives to work on suspended license in an uninsured vehicle with suspended registration on wicomico county property. what if she hits someone? This deputy needs to be suspended for not treating her like any other criminal. how can she be able to supervise inmates who have the same charges that she does? She should be suspended with pay until this is settled or until she runs out of leave. she should be ashamed to even show her face there. others in jail aren't provided the same luxury of being able to work until their court date. guards should be held to the same standards that the public are. does having a wannabe cop badge give her this privilege? it shouldn't. let's look at her prior charges that she was convicted of by pleading guilty. all of these are since she's been working there for over a decade. she lies to the police and to everyone all the time. never pays her bills or fines. the jail should know by now that she is a liability. if this was a 1st offense, then i would want her to have a 2nd chance, but this is not the case. people always show their true colors over time and this is shame on the jail if she fools them twice. I call for all concerned citizens of wicomico county to petition the county council to do what the administration of the jail will not, remove this liability before it's too late. thanks joe.

WHO is this person?

This is the type of things that drives me crazy! Look at all the creditors she has stiffed. That alone should make her sit BEHIND the bars instead of watching those inside the bars. What happened to people in these positions being held to a high standard. Now they seem to have no standard at all.

I agree. How does this stuff happen? Will Sheriff LEWIS do anything about this? There is a long history of criminals watching criminals there. What is the point of paying Human Resources if they aren't going to do their job? All county employees are subject to review. These are public workers that should be held to a higher standard. If it shows up in a public record, then you should be accountable for your actions. if that means you lose your job, then to bad. No liars! No theifs! If you can't follow the law, why are you able to work for the law? How hard would it be for the sheriffs to setup a check point right there at the complex? All the vehicles should be subject to inspection and be verified to be legit so the county is protected. I bet there would a lot less traffic in and out of there on visitation days.

Who can do anything about this? Nobody. Nothing will happen. They need bodies to work. I just hope that when i get off my stool after a long day of drinking since i can't find a job that i get to make it home without the law bothering me. i'll drink to that.

Joe. What are your thoughts about this? What can the people do?

How is anyone going to take that place seriously? When did it become common practice for law breakers to supervise other law breakers? This jail is and always will be a joke! How can a place hold other people accountable for their wrong doings and bad choices but not the people that work for their institution? So much for setting an example! All this place has done is show every inmate come work for us, we employee criminals! Way to go Wicomico county!

A DAMN SHAME.

Mike Lewis has no control of the jail.

Well I'm sure someone on the county council reads this blog, so why is nothing done about this yet? Don't let this kind of stuff just go - do something - there are way too many people out there that need a job and would do a good job if given the chance so no need to keep someone on the payroll who keeps screwing up over and over, give some unemployed person a chance.

I know someone who has been driving on a suspended license for over 10 years. She has been caught over and over and nothing is done. She says her father pays off someone.

HR can just pick anyone that got a dui this month as potential applicants. They already meet the requirements.

Well she can't be fired b/f, So she will have to be promoted to a position where she has no contact with inmates. Supervising the guards is ok because the inmates tell the guards what to do all the time.

Oh how corrupt that place must be, what a shame. Is there anywhere that is not corrupt these days. I feel sorry for the employees who just want to do a good job, put in their time and go home to their family w/o all the BS.

Why wasn't she taken to the jail and tested for alcohol? It says she's charged for use of drugs too. This is an inside cover up. She'll beat this since the cop didn't give her due process.

If she gets jail time and work release she can walk to her job!

It is embarrassing to have such a person employed at this facility who allegedly can't follow simple traffice laws. WCDC is NOT a bad place to work. They just have a few employees who constantly bring embarrassement into the institution and continue to prance around their peers as if they are untouchable. The lack of noticeable disciplinary action towards this allege traffic law breaker has enhance poor morale. Questions are being asked, can the employees trust their employers? Can the employees trust this allege traffic law breaker who could easily become an allege administrative snitch? Can the managers comprehend the possiblity, this allege traffic law breaker may affected the performances of other employees who have to work around this person? It's all about trust. There are good employees at WCDC who are very angry and tire of this allege traffic law breaker who constantly receive slaps on the buttocks for bad behavior. Others have lost their jobs, positions and character for much much less. This is an embarrassement to WCDC. This allege traffic law breaker has plenty of documented traffic violations. They've had plenty of chances to change their behavior that could be beneficial for the jail, families, friends and themselves. Allegedly, they continue to bring shame to the game. This allege traffic law breaker should have been terminated a very long time ago. It is time for the County Council or the Director of WCDC to do the right thing. This person could be ineffective at this time. They may place others in harms way. Why haven't anything productive been done? Do the "Powers of Be" of the detention center overall have something to hide concerning this allege traffic law breaker?

First of all this small press release does not provide any detail. The arresting officer followed procedure. Once arrested, the arrestee was transported to headquarters where she was read the Dr-15 Advice of Rights. The arrestee refused the breath test, which is her option. After the completion of paperwork, the arrestee was released to a sober person "sign and release". More than 75% of all DUI arrests result and in the preson being "signed and released" without going to jail as long the requirements are met. An arrestee's job, social status, wealth, etc have nothing to do with it. People need a little more understanding of the DUI arrest procedures before screaming the cover up BS.

I keep telling you --- the law is NOT for the police (and apparently for people who want to be police but can't make the cut). For 11:13, its not the procedure I question -- its the defendants ability to drive around on a SUSPENDED license. If thats true, it is completely indefensible. And yes, this person IS a deadbeat. Lies, steals and cheats like its her second job. And gets to supervise OTHER thieves? With employees like this, its no wonder drugs are smuggled into the jail. Its only a question of WHO.

11:13pm,
This is all about an alleged habitual traffic law breaker who supervise incarcerated inmates and junior staff. The bottom line is, she can't be trusted.

ACLU would swoop in like a feral bird of prey if they dared to fire this woman for having a drinking problem.Great world we live in.

Anonymous said...

They can call the NAACP, SCLC or the ACLU. This is shameful because other staff members at the facility has lost much more for lesser offenses. This person should Not be treated differently then other employees. We don't care how many friends, families members, inmate backers or lovers this person may have at this facility. Others want to feel safe when they go to work at WCDC. They want to be able to trust the people they have to work with and work for. Who can trust a person who allegedly breaks traffic laws concerning DUI? MADD need to step in. What other rules have this person gotten away with? This person needs to be "snub" by her peers if nothing else can be done,

there is no justice for others working in this place.

Here we go again. No one is perfect in this world.70% of the employees drink and drink and drive. This goes for cops to. We had a states atty that got caught drinking and driving with a handgun. All of a sudden its a capitol crime to drink and drive . No one is saying anything about Sgt. Stevenson who was caught twice and had a accident in one of his DWIs.Was on supervised probation and his car had a built in alcohol monitor .Now that kimball dont need her to snitch for him any more she has been thrown under a moving bus.The Detention Center is the most corrupt place i have ever worked in my life time. Its not about who you are its about whos you are.If you are not a Ex DOC employee you are done. Now that they have all the DOC heads in place it wont be long before those with 20-30 years in will be exterminated. We now have the slickest of the slick working . Just look at the disciplinary action that has been handed down. Staff are being disciplined for not knowing ECIs rules .It is time to sue the pants off Wicomico County . Sue personally, civilly and collectively.LETS ROLL!

3:44pm,
Your statement is laughable. The staff at WCDC couldn't even get a Union in the place. And, now you want everyone to gather together and "sue personally, civilly and collectively. LETS ROLL!". 3/4 of you people can't STAND one another. We who know the truth, are laughing our ace's off. This is so funny. We wish you and your select group of friends, Good Luck. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Anonymous said...

Do'nt get it twisted we dont like you. you are part of the problem .You are a snitch or a friend of the top 3. I understand you have to go with the flow to keep yourself in good graces. If your scared say your scared.Staff are sick of the double standards and being punished for not being DOC EX employees. Just for fun . Look at the disciplinary action on WCDC employees and compare it with those ex ECI employees.
