YES. maybe not in the way its envisioned (as the world blowing up). but there will definately be a lot of cosmic mayhem.
it is on 12-21-12 (correction from the original post) that the sun, the earth, and the center of the milky way will all be in line with each other.
i think theres a certain amount of energy that will be given off, maybe even gravitational inconsistancies that weve never seen before.

Nope! I feel it like my calendar on my desk. That's the last day of this one and 12/22 starts a new 14,500 year calendar, so back to the middle of the big circle.
If anyone believes the predictions of Nostradamus the world will still be around in and beyond the year 3000,and the people in it will still be alive and kicking.
Only if Romney is elected, then the Alien caretakers of Earth will know that the USA has lost it's mind and is electing false prophets. Their vengence will be final.
