Study: Half Of Children in Montgomery, Fairfax Have Foreign-Born Parent

Half of the children living in Montgomery and Fairfax counties in 2010 had at least one parent who was not born into the United States, according to a study released on Thursday.
The study, compiled by Venture Philanthropy Partners, put together demographic, economic and education statistics to paint a comprehensive picture of children living in the D.C. area today. The study examined the demographics of children, how many were born to immigrants, the numbers of children in single-parent versus two-parent homes, the income levels of different families in the area, and school achievement based on standardized tests and enrollment levels.
Throughout the area, the number of children with at least one parent who was not born in the United States is on the rise, the study says. In the entire region examined for the study — including Montgomery, Fairfax, Prince William, Arlington, Prince George’s and Loudoun counties, as well as the District and Alexandria — 41 percent of children have at least one parent born abroad. In Alexandria, 44 percent of children fit into this category, while more than a third of children in Prince William, Arlington, Prince George’s and Loudoun counties do. The District has the smallest percentage of children in this situation, with just one in five having a parent born outside the United States.

The United States is a "sanctuary" and it should highler lol. This country is in the shitter and everyone is just and watching the once greatest nation on earth fall. My grandfather would this country will fall and not one shot will be fired. The sad truth is he was right we are on the verge of a total financial breakdown and all politicians want to do is point the finger. All Americans want to do is sit on their asses and do nothing. I am truly worried about my childrens future in this country. Time for all Patriots to stand tall.
