New Bike Routes In Salisbury Don't Seem Very Safe

Just another government hand out and feel good crap. Look at Kent Island or Bowie if you want to see well planned out bike routes. Painting a picture on the road and calling it a bike route simply doesn't cut it, to me.

go look at a better state than maryland... go to delaware in the cities other than POS laurel and seaford...

They mandate all bike paths be added to every new development in the city area, hell even outside it to...

Unfortunately, they won't pay attention to it until there have been a number of 'incidents' involving these lanes - then there will be bike-lane-cameras.....

This was a surprise to the Bike-SBY group too?

How much was the grant for? They probably made a lot of money off that stencil.

I thought the bike lane thing was to connect the SU area safely with the rest of town why wouldn't they route it on college ave the connector to reach the center.... a bike lane on the overhead bridge

Bike riding is not safe. You want safe? Drive a truck. Anyone who rides a bike exposes him/her self to irate and inattentive drivers, dogs gravel sewer grates water everything. Bikes are unsafe and I effing love riding mine!

It is harder to create bike lanes on older city roads...no room to expand the roads unless you want to take our roads or make everything one way. Best you can do is create awareness among drivers.

As new developments come on board, you can require the developers to put them in.

They could at least draw a lane line! Maybe the rain is delaying this. I would hope so!

They are called share lanes. The lanes are wide enough to accommodate both.

11:46 nailed it. What contractor buddy pocketed that change. Bike lane/car lane on a major 4 lane highway? Really?

Joe, why don't you go ride your bike in that lane so I can run over you with my Corvette? Loser.
