Blue to Red: Financial Sector Practically ‘Showering’ Republicans With Campaign Money

Back in 2008, financial services companies, Goldman Sachs in particular, loved the Democrat Party and then-Senator Barack Obama.

“[E]mployees of New York-based Goldman gave three-fourths of their campaign donations to Democratic candidates and committees, including presidential nominee Barack Obama,” Bloomberg reports.

But then something happened. He got elected.

After the 2008 presidential election, members of the financial community were no longer valued donors but were instead “fat cats” who don’t pay their “fair share” or “play by the rules.” And then the White House condoned and coddled that whole “Let’s Destroy Capitalism” Occupy Wall Street thing.

Shhhhh....Obama recieved more campaign donations from Wall Street than any other Presidential candidate in history in 2008.

Oh how history is so quickly forgotten!

It may be true or not. What is funny though is that "all that so-called money" he got could not buy him out.

So now they will just give it to Republicans and we know they will always be bought.

Seems like a good sign to keep the man in office.

857-That's funny, ask anyone in the know about the Dodd-Frank bill. It's a joke, just watered down regs that don't make a difference.

BTW-After the Savings and Loan crisis, over 3,000 bankers were criminally prosecuted. Obama's DOJ has criminally prosecuted 3 bankers for the financial crisis of 2008. Just fines. He was bought out, time and time again.

Sorry buddy your logic doesn't make sense. They are now giving away their money to the people they feel will give them more favors.

Good try though.

1151-All you have to do is look at the results of the S&L crisis vs the Financial crisis. One group was allowed to pay off their accusers, the other faced criminal prosecution.

Obama's nothing but an empty suit. Sorry buddy. The facts are the facts.

All of you don't seem to understand or grasp the gravity of the situation. All politicians are corrupt, Wall Street is corrupt and the next billionaire in support is corrupt. Our voting system is corrupt, and our Gov't has so many agency's, they can't keep track. Hell is coming....
