297-lb Texas Boy Barred From Peewee Football

A suburban Dallas boy has been barred from playing peewee football because the league says he is just too big at nearly 300 pounds.
Mesquite Pee Wee Football Association President Ronnie Henderson said the rules are clear and 12-year-old Elijah Earnheart is not eligible. The 6-foot-1-inch boy exceeds the 135-pound limit for seventh-graders, and he got the bad news last Sunday when the league held its official weigh-in.

He has the chance to play for his school but his entitlement attitude wants to play with kids under 135 lbs. He's a bully.

I would've loved to see him destroy entire teams. Weight classes? That ain't football, that's American "every kid gets a trophy" attitude.

He does'nt actually look fat,just big.If he's 6-1 and 12 years old he might reach 7 feet.

His parents weren't concerned about the effect of their 300 lb hippo hitting the normal 125 lb kid at a full run, or falling on top of the 110 lb quarterback. They were only interested in his domination of a league he shouldn't be in. Bet your life they are already shopping for the car and mansion their boy will buy when he turns "pro"....I'd also bet he can't spell his own name write a complete sentence. THAT stuff ain't nothing but someone trying to hold him down from his dreams.

444-boohoo, guess what, in any "real" football league, there aren't weight classes. Check out a high school game sometime. I've seen guys 350 lbs run right through guys less than half their size.

Why shouldn't he be in that league? That's the league, by age, he's allowed to play in. The wussification of America doesn't do anyone good.
