Despite "significant" progress in civil rights, the nation is still
struggling to "overcome injustice" and "eliminate disparities,"
Attorney General Eric Holder told the Detroit chapter of the NAACP on
Sunday.
The attorney general also mentioned Trayvon Martin by name, as he decried the violence and crime involving young people.
"This
(violence) is an issue that has -– rightly -– garnered significant
national attention in recent months, as our nation has struggled to
make sense of the tragic shooting death of a Florida teenager named
Trayvon Martin," Holder said. "As this case moves through the legal
system, Justice Department officials will continue to communicate
closely with state and local authorities to ensure that community
concerns are heard, tensions are alleviated, and – as with every
investigation at every level – appropriate actions are guided by the
facts and the law."

If Trayvon lived in Detroit he would been gunned down by his own people, and Holder needs to shut his mouth hes responsible for enough deaths already
WTF! He and our worthless President have created more civil unrest than most of our actual enemies. When the lid blows on this building tension it's not gonna be pretty.
Holder could help "overcome injustice" if he would just let the law do their job and keep the political bullshit out of it. The court and jury will decide and the law will be upheld. There is too much attention in the MSM with this case for it not to happen. If the court and jury favours Zimmermen and they use that to riot than so be it. That will show the true black culture.
of course he doesn't mention bounty put on Zimmerman's head by black people that are apparently above the law
gawd shut up about trayvon already. sick of hearing about this crap. he thought he was a bad ass and got proven otherwise.
