The mail below is my reply from Senator Mikulski on the Animal Fighting Spectator Prohibition Act.
Owners of the dogs or cock fighting fade into the crowds when Law Enforcement arrive, Police cannot arrest them -----because----- the owners have then "become spectators in the crowd." Passing this Bill would give them the " tools" they need to enforce this crimainal act .
These Blood Fights are highly profitable for the owners , envolving drugs, & high stakes gambling in the Thousands of dollars.

I am appalled by animal-fighting and any person who actively supports it. Animals, especially dogs, are loving and loyal companions who deserve nothing less than our care. It is cruel and inexcusable to pit animals against one another for the sake of sport. I have always supported legislation protects all animals. That's why I am a co-sponsor of the Animal Fighting Spectator Prohibition Act (S. 1947).
S. 1947 would make it a crime to knowingly attend an animal fight. This legislation is currently pending in the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry. Knowing of your support for this bill will be helpful to me as the Senate continues to work on this issue.

I so don't care about cock fighting when 700,000 marylanders are out of work, $4 gas, an adminstration stomping on the constituion, federal government suing states and all the rest. THis is an example of what these idiots think is important. Talk about out of touch. Just another gay marriage issue. Yet the sheeple keep voting this troll into office
It's cock fighting and dog fighting. This is a very important law that needs to be passed. Not only are animals tortured and killed for peoples pleasure but in dog fighting investigations police find drugs guns money and gang activity. People that abuse animals are also more apt to harm or kill people. People thar go to watch these fights are just as guilt as the people that fight and all should be arrested. When you come right down to it animal fighting should be made a racketeering crime. Much money changes hands at these events.
wrong..wrong..wrong..We don't need anymore laws. Animal cruelty is already a crime. If you want to be sick to your stomach, just read the court briefs in the daily times and look at all the cases that are nol pros. Even when we catch someone committing a crime, we do nothing about it. How about we just start building more jails and stop letting these guys off to commit more crimes. The point is that legistators should be handling the bigger issues than dog fighting. This is a state issue anyway. I just wish the senator would use her 120 working days more effectively
