Delegates Show Scarce Sympathy For Judges Seeking $29,000 Pay Raise

A proposal to raise judges’ salaries by $29,000 got a cool response from members of the House Appropriations Committee, who must vote on it or let the raises take effect automatically in 50 days.

There are a lot of people out here that don't even make $29,000 in a year. And Judges want a $29,000 a year raise. I think its a no brainer. NOT. That would be like a slap in the face after all this talk about no money and raising taxes. I don't know how many judges we are talking about but that is a hell of a lot of money Say no to the raises and then maybe you won't need to raise taxes.

Don't they also get paid for life after they retire? In times like these, shouldn't that be enough?
