The Blogosphere Loses A Good Friend Mrs. Loretta Williams

Loretta P. Willilams, 81, of Salisbury, died Friday, February 3, 2012, in Salisbury. Born in White Plains, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry Pickeral and Alice Hurtt Pickeral.

Loretta was known as a "fashion forward" and "stylish" woman. She was also the first woman cashier of the Waldorf Bank and then the first woman vice president of the Citizens Bank of MD. She worked for 18 years for Charles County Government, retiring in 1992 from management. In retirement she supported her sons and daughter-in-law in their businesses, Advance Security, Advanced Property Rental, AlarmGuard, Cathy’s Pet Salon and Hometown Builders. Her favorite charities included; Goodwill and Wicomico County Humane Society.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James “Moe” Herman Williams; three sons, Donnie Williams, Pat Williams & his wife, Cathy Jo, all of Salisbury and David Williams of Montclair, VA; two grandchildren, Christi Jo Williams and Cassandra J. Williams, both of Salisbury; great granddaughter, Tristen T. Williams of Salisbury; and a sister, Doris Willett of Irvington, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Leonard Pickeral.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. A graveside service will be held Monday, February 13, 2012, 11:00 am at the Shad Point Cemetery in Salisbury with Rev. Thomas C. Bunting officiating.
