FREDERICK, Md. -- Frederick is taking the term "green" to a new level, powering the lights on the Christmas tree outside City Hall with solar power.
Solar panels are set up and calibrated by a small GPS controller.

And to provide electricity for teh trees at night, huge sun lamps are aimed at the solar panels during the nightime hours
So, all the bulbs were CFLs?
