WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- A woman claims a dream family trip is being cancelled because of her terminal cancer, and the airline is refusing to refund the money for her ticket.
The McKain family would have been taking off from BWI Airport leaving to Belize in January. But now they aren't going anywhere and they're out of $4200.

I feel bad forher, but if she had booked it through a travel agent, she could have purchased travel insurance.
Most people don't even consider it but there's going to be that one time that it would pay for itself many times over.
They bought NON-REFUNDABLE tickets! Oh, well. They should have to live with it. Can't believe the airline crumbled and returned the money.
