Walgreens Pharmacist Fired for Foiling Robbery

What some called a heroic save, Walgreens has found reason to terminate the job of a night-shift pharmacist. Jeremy Hoven fired his handgun during an armed robbery at a store in Benton Township, Mich. and was subsequently fired.

His coworker, a manager on duty that night, thanked him with a card and included a picture of his four children, bu Hoven, who has a permit to carry concealed weapons, was given the boot after two masked gunmen fled the Walgreens when faced with shots from his gun, reports The Herald Palladium.

This should be a no brainer. Of course we have to thank our screwed-up judicial system. Also I would like to thank the lawyers and judges for the way they help screw-up the system. The victims are the guilty ones now a days.
Have a permit to carry and and can't use the weapon , what a crock.

This is crazy, but not the first ridiculous Human Resourses department I've run across. It amazes me how some companies give so much power to HR. I've seen an HR department run a company into the ground because of their lack of industry knowledge and common sense!!!

If Walgreens had a employee policy against firearms in the store then the guy is toast. If Walgreens didn't have a written policy against firearms in the store then he should sue the crap out of them!
