What Would A 'Government Shutdown' Really Mean?

You might have heard the ominous-sounding phrase "government shutdown" a lot lately, but what does it actually mean?

It means that the government won't show up for work, but will get back pay for all the days there not working... So either way they get paid and we get screwed...

I wish we would revolt like the rest of the world is... only thing is, our government has better fire power compared to anyone of our rebels... Plus there won't be any other country helping us like we help them... So I guess were just screwed and will always be like this until the Radical Muslims take over...

Also means troops in active duty in war zones dont get paid.

we have 2.5 wars and a heck of a lot of families over seas and at home who would be up a creek in hard time if we shut down.

The time is coming, that is why the gov't wants gun control for the private citizens so that they can't defend their safety and liberty.
