A Pentagon inquiry into a Rolling Stone magazine profile of Gen. Stanley McChrystal that led to his dismissal as the top US commander in Afghanistan has cleared him of wrongdoing.
The probe's results released Monday also called into question the accuracy of the magazine's report last June, which quoted anonymously people around McChrystal making disparaging remarks about members of President Barack Obama's national security team, including Vice President Joe Biden.
At the time he dismissed McChrystal, Obama said the general had fallen short of "the standard that should be set by a commanding general." The Defense Department inspector general's report, however, concluded that available evidence did not support the conclusion that McChrystal had violated any applicable legal or ethics standard.

Go figure,the leftist media with an agenda. NO WAY! Sad thing is they ruined this mans life. All to promote their royal highness who works for everyone but the American people. That's why the media doesn't hold Barack accountable for his lies. They do it too, without any remorse. Right out of Saul Alinskys playbook. I love how they call the comunist of yesterday the community organizers today.
McCrystal did something that obama and his advisors never did. What is THAT? Served his country. Put his life on the line to defend our nation. Swore an oath uphold the Constitution and defend our nation against all enemies. NEVER kissed the ace of our enemies or bowed to anyone. And obama made sure he paid the price for such lurid behavior.
I don't know that McChrystal was that badly damaged.
Anybody who knows anything understood that he was simply hung out for telling the truth, and it's not like he did it in a speech at the academy.
I never lost any respect for him. In fact, I may have had more respect for his honest appraisal of the situation-- something you'll not hear any more of during this administration.
Exactly 1155....how can Obama say that McChrystal had fallen short of the standard that should be set by a commanding General? I would take a PV1 to war with me before I take Obama who knows nothing about the military....
