Fewer Jobs In Maryland, But More People Working
By Jamie Smith Hopkins, The Sun (Baltimore) Employers in the state cut 5,900 jobs in March, but nearly 12,000 more Marylanders were working, dropping the unemployment rate below 7 percent for the first time in two years, the federal government estimated Tuesday.

Like me we are holding two jobs b/c of economics, gas prices,utlity costs, food costs, and the non-sense you have to go thru when you loose your job and try to get unemployement for a brief time until you get another job. Most of us now are working two jobs that pay little just to make ends meet. I have aquired three College Degrees in my life time and there is nothing out there.

The government workforce is swelling-- that's what makes the MD numbers look good.
