No absolutely not. We're prepared for any outcome. Even if it means that the USA will default on it's mortgage, stop paying Social Security, stop funding the soldiers fighting for our freedom, stop all paychecks to all Military members and their families, stop all Medicare payments, stop all tax refund payments, shut down the Federal Government including the FBI, CIA and NSC, stop all military benefits payments, shut down Walter Reed and all other Veterans Hospitals, shut down US Customs, stop manning the US Boarder crossings, etc., etc. etc.
WE ARE PREPARED.....sure we are...numbnuts.
Anon 2:58 - How about stop making welfare payments to inmates, stop paying social security to dead people, stop supporting the rest of the world for one year (that would probably pay off the national debt alone), stop paying illegals for anything & stop paying doctors for procedures that never took place. That should fix everything. Then they can lower taxes because we'll have so much EXTRA money they can give some of it back to us.
NO more aid to foriegn countries. Period. we can't even pay our own bills let alone everyone elses. It's ridiculous. NO more payments to the UN - ever. No education for illegals. EVER. I don't care how old they are. Tighten the import market up. Never import more (in dollars)than you export. 5 tax free years for green businesses - state and federal. Drill in ANWR.

Speak for yourself. A failure to raise the nation's debt ceiling will cause a GREAT DEPRESSION world wide. You and no other American citizen in this country except the wealthy is prepared for a Great Depression. Ask your grand/great grand parents what it was like in this country living during the American Great. Depression. Those were hard times this generation knows nothing about.
As for the military,
You would not be free or in good health if it weren't for the men and women fighting for our freedom and democracy. Do you really think Congrss really give a darn about the plight of American middle class citizens and the poor. No they don't. They would rather enslave the population.
You know nothing about real hard times. I am a disable veteran who receive $866.00 dollars a month. Thank goodness I can utilies the veteran administration for all the medical treatment I need at an extremely low cost that I would not receive if I had the utilies the local clinics and hospital. Therefore, thank about others before you speak badly for others. I served to ensure my freedom and the freedom of others would stand strong.
