COLUMBUS, Ohio – The only suspect in a kidnapping and triple-slaying in Ohio has been indicted on charges of aggravated murder and rape.
The indictment alleges that 30-year-old Matthew Hoffman killed Tina Herrmann, Herrmann's son Kody Maynard and neighbor Stephanie Sprang during a Nov. 10 burglary. Their dismembered bodies were found days later inside a tree using information provided by Hoffman.
Hoffman is also accused of kidnapped a 13-year-old girl during the burglary and raping her at his home.
The indictment issued in central Ohio's Knox County on Tuesday carries a possible penalty of life in prison without parole.
Hoffman's lawyer said last month that his client had been taken off suicide watch in jail and was maintaining a positive attitude.

Positive attitude. I would shoot him in the face with a 12 gauge.
11:30, to nice and way to fast! something long slow and painful would be more befitting! preferably televised so other thinking of committing these types of crimes could see what awaits them!
We dont have that much time.
What a shame. I am beginning to think there is no hope for all children with disciplinary problems. I feel so fortunate that I have 2 of the sweetest children in the world and I would be devastated if something like that happened.
Where is the dad in this scenario?
Several other factors going on here. Living in a converted garage for a home and another family living in a trailer. The only male factor it appears was his grandfather and he is dead and gone. Bless his soul.
Maybe Hoffman should be dismembered, Alive!!
'The crimes that Hoffman is charged with could carry a possible death penalty, but Thatcher said those charges were not pursued "in accordance with the wishes of the victims' families."
What about the wishes of the deceased!
