DELMAR POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE

Incident: Drug Arrest

Arrested: Jeremy Joseph Ross, white male, 30 Y.O.A., Portsmouth, VA

On 01-03-11 an officer of the Delmar Police Department conducted a traffic stop for a speeding violation on Ocean Hwy., Delmar MD. The driver of the vehicle was identified at Jeremy Ross of Portsmouth, VA. A Delmar Police K-9 officer subsequently responded to the location to conduct a K-9 scan of the vehicle. The K-9 alerted to the odor of Controlled Dangerous Substances. Subsequent search revealed suspected heroin, marijuana, and numerous controlled prescription drugs, along with approx. $7,000.00 U.S. Currency. Ross is being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center on $200,000 secured bond.
