Get out your contract and read it. The rate you are presently paying may be locked in or there amy be a clause in it that you agreed to any increases during the course of the contract. Remember, the contract should be for your protection, too. Good luck.
Don't people read their contacts anymore...it clearly states they van raise rates. Dish has a price freeze for two years after this years rate increase.
3:42 contracts are not required at all. they are only required if you take advantage of discounted pricing. if you pay full pricce for an item you usually dont need one. the companies need to recoup the cost of subsidizing your item somehow.
3:35 actually its most likely cheaper the cable. i pay under 100 a month for all but premium channels. and if i had the ability to get high speed internet, which i do not, then i could have access to thier on demand section. sat tv is a viable competitot to cable. its actually thier only compitition in many areas, unless you are the chosen few with fios access. any cable company was allowed to provide you with your service in any area then you might see prices go down

I'm sick of everything you want to purchase requiring a 1-3 yr contract.
