MILLERSBURG, Ohio -- An investigator says two loaded guns were found on the bed of a 10-year-old Ohio boy charged as a juvenile with murder in the shooting death of his mother.
Chief Deputy Nathan Fritz of the Holmes County Sheriff's Office says one weapon was a .22-caliber rifle investigators believe was used to fire the fatal shot. Fritz tells The Daily Record of Wooster the other was a 12-gauge shotgun.
The newspaper reports investigators think the guns were given to the child by his now-deceased grandfather

Mother Deborah McVay was found dead Sunday night of a single gunshot wound to the head at the home in Big Prairie, about midway between Cleveland and Columbus. Her son's attorney on Monday entered the juvenile equivalent of a not guilty plea.

What a shame. I am beginning to think there is no hope for all children with disciplinary problems. I feel so fortunate that I have 2 of the sweetest children in the world and I would be devastated if something like that happened.

Several other factors going on here. Living in a converted garage for a home and another family living in a trailer. The only male factor it appears was his grandfather and he is dead and gone. Bless his soul.

Democrats aren't responsible for irresponsible parents, drugs, illegitimacy. You have that everywhere regardless of political beliefs. Take off the blinders- these issues know no party boundaries.
So many kids are being raised to do as they please and cannot handle the word NO. I was told "no" many times, I've had my butt beat by not only my parents but aunts and uncles too. I was raised with second hand clothes and never had the latest video game or $100 shoes and turned out to be a pretty good person.
Material items do not raise productive members of society, teaching morals values and accountability does! Parents need to parent and teach their kids there is never going to be a time in life that they get everything they want, just how they want it, when they want it. It is called LIFE and it is NOT a game!

Democrats are ruining this country. They are a bad influence on the lifestyle of good people.
Why do you think there are so many mothers without fathers in their lives? For years girls have been having babies in the ghetto's without baby daddy around. Can you guess what party there were? If you said Democrat you are correct. So now that baby daddy ain't no where to be seen all these years it has become the norm of the Democrats so it is acceptable.
Now with that said society knows that a family without baby daddy means crime. Case closed!

Maybe the kid was being abused by his mother and did this in self defense?
Or maybe the kid had some mental health issues.
