Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On November 24, 2010 at approximately 8:52 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area Eastern Shore Drive and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by the below listed suspect for traffic violations. The suspect was a passenger. A K-9 from the Wicomico Co. Sheriff’s Department conducted a scan on the vehicle and gave a positive indication for the presence of contraband. The vehicle and suspect were checked and the suspect was found in possession of a smoking device and a quantity of suspected "crack"/cocaine.

ARRESTED: Tiffany Lynn Melvin, 28 years of age
Mardela Springs, Maryland
CHARGES: Possession of cocaine
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On November 24, 2010 at approximately 11:58 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on South Decatur Avenue for the report of threats. Upon arrival the officers met with a victim who reported being threatened by the below listed suspect over a monetary debt. The suspect was located by the officers and was found in possession of a large kitchen type knife. A search of the suspect, incident to arrest, revealed a quantity of suspected cocaine.

CHARGES: Second degree assault
Possession of a concealed weapon
Possession of cocaine
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On November 24, 2010 at approximately 1:13 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of North Salisbury Boulevard and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by the below listed suspect. A routine records check revealed that the suspect was driving on a suspended driving privilege and with stolen registration plates.
ARRESTED: Daniel Travis Lewis, 31 years of age
Crisfield, Maryland
CHARGES: Driving on suspended license
Theft (under $ 100) – 2 counts
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On November 24, 2010 at approximately 6:39 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Walmart Department Store on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised the officers that store employees had observed the below listed suspect take cosmetics from the store without making payment. The suspect was apprehended and the property was returned to the store.
ARRESTED: Kelvin Lebrock Toledo, 24 years of age
Delmar, Delaware
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

I will never step foot in the Fruitland Wal Mart again. They can call the cops quicker for a shop lifter then for an old lady being pummeled by a moronic teenager, get a grip.
