I'm sad to say NO

not only local but regional, state and feds. It's time for a revolution!

I don't trust any of them. They are all out for themselves, and the corrupt system just keeps the self-serving individuals in power and never lets any one that may not be so self serving to get elected.

That feels better, thank you

sadly i don't trust most to do what is right; smart; and best for the citizens.

their are too many today in positions beyond their intelligence and expertise.

their are too many taking under the table and only looking out for their own interests and lining their pockets.......

For the most part, I do. These are just everyday citizens trying to give back to the communities they represent. Of course, one bad apple will taint the whole basket, but informed voters shouldn't be swayed by that. I knew several of our local officials before they were officials, and to a person, they are all good, honest folks. And I'm speaking of both parties; no one party has a corner on integrity

I trust very few. I trust Mike Lewis, Davis Ruark, Debbie and Terry, Gail Bartkovich, Stevie Prettyman, Ivan Barkley.

The ones I dont trust are Slick Rick, Loweasel, Shanie, Gary and McCaine.
The remainder will have to prove themselves.

If you have a problem they only respond to people with money or influence. NO

I trust the non-masons

how can you trust people with secret agendas

Anonymous said...

Absolutely NOT - I trust very few officials - they all have their own personal agendas and I'm really sick of all their lies. Louweasal, Shields, Comegys - absolutely positively do not trust, same goes for Slick Rick.

In Delaware, all of our officials are local. We're just that small. I will do my part to take out the trash on November 2nd and vote against any incumbent.

I could not have said that better myself!

Shields, Comegys, Smith, Tilghman, Dunn, Cathcart -- the fix is/was in for all of them.
I trust Campbell and Cohen - I think they're working to better Salisbury, not indiscriminately an destructively squeeze every penny and all of the small remaining charm out of it before moving to sunnier places with the takes from developers and landlords. We need more thinking people like those two.
Sorry to see Ruark go. I think he did a great job, given the limitations put on it by the court system and local politicians.
Ireton. He's doing a good job, considering the stinking bag of offal he was handed by Tilghman. He's quietly coming through with all of his promises, starting much of it from ground zero, and not without dense flak along the way from many of the aforementioned life-suckers. And have you seen downtown looking more vibrant in a decade?

APRIL IS ON THE WAY! LET'S CLEAN HOUSE!

I don't know if you all remember a show that we used to get after the WBOC News and it was called "The Southern Sportsman" Franc White from I believe N Carolina his saying was "don't ever re-elect anyone" one term is enough. If they completed all their missions in their term, no need to re-elect, if not then you don't want them anyway. Just food for thought.

I'm an old man who has seen a lot of them come and go. Local elected officials, there have been some great ones and we have some now who someday will be called great, or at least really good ones. Of the current crop, in my opinion that will include most of the county council. They all are looking out for the taxpayer. The most independent ones are Prettyman, Holloway and Bartkovich. They should all be reelected. Sample-Hughes and McLoud do really good jobs for their constituients in their districts. I hope they get back in too. All 7 of the current crop are stand up, honest people, but Cannon and McCain are packing it in. To them I say, thanks for your good work, though I didn't always agree with you.
I'm optomistic that they will be replaced by the young Matt Holloway and Bobbie Culver. They're both home grown, they have good sense and they're independent as all heck. We don't need people up there who just follow the crowd. It's been a long time since there was a farmer on the County Council. All the farmers we had up there did a good job and they were tight with the money. That's good, too. I'm sorry to say I can't think of much good to say for none of that bunch that's running Salisbury now. The city sure had a good mayor in Paul Martin.

I trust the County Council, they take a lot of heat, but the Salisbury Council is pretty bush league.

Folks you all are living in the past here. You see, in Wicomico we now have an Elected Executive who oversees the day-to-day operation of the county. He also proposes the budget along with many pieces of legislation. Got it? So the question is who do you trust to do the right thing for us? Pollitt or Ollinger?

As for the County Council, they have the final say so on the budget, but can only cut and not add. And they are the only ones in the county who can make laws. Have there been any laws made in these past four years you don't like?

I've been to many council meetings and I can tell you something. These seven do their homework and know what they are talking about and they do it in the public eye.
Unfortunately, the Executive can do things outside the public eye and then we learn about it much later when it surfaces.

I say, let's go back to the old form of government. I liked that a lot better and it was better for us, the working class.

Local officials?

I trust Mike Lewis, Debbie Campbell, Terry Cohen, Stevie Prettyman & Joe Holloway. I'll add Ivan Barkley, even though he's not elected.

All 6 say what they mean and mean what they say.

The rest are just small-time politicians or bureaucrats out for themselves or their own departments, like those knuckleheads running the Salisbury Fire Department. Ireton's been a big disappointment. He just seems whipped by his staff and liberal friends.

If we had such an audit with similar findings, there'd be hell to pay. Wait...we've had one...hell was here this summer, i guess.

I trust Terry Cohen & the Sherriff... none other.
