The idea of secrecy in a Constitutional Republic is repugnant

Personnel matters should be kept private.

I think Ireton is going to submit his choices for two outsiders for the police chief and fire chief position. The city election is fast approaching for 3 council members and if any of the three support an outsider I will do my best to convince voters to clean the slate. Hopefully enough citizens will agree with me.

Personnel hirings and firings are always done in closed session.

Any of you want your boss to fire you in an open meeting over the company PA?

How about you bid on something first so the competition can see what your bid is, and then put theirs in?

Lots to complain about in government, but this ain't it.

How do you know these "outsiders" wouldn't be a better choice? And it is personnel matters not personal.

Maybe Ireton is on the chopping block after his comment blaming Royal Farms for still being open when the murder occurred.
What happened to free enterprise.
Oh I forgot, this is Salisbury.
