The Worcester County Fair

I traveled down to Snow Hill for the second weekend in a row to enjoy the Worcester County Fair. It was loaded with politicians just about everywhere you turned. Mind you, the signs were everywhere but not all of the candidates were present, not while I was there, anyway.

The classic cars along the river was certainly a sight to see. Vendors selling food, arts, crafts and rides for the kids seemed to also be a huge hit. The weather was also perfect for this event.

It used to be held every year at the Furnacetown in Snow Hill and it was much better when it was there. It hasn't been the same since they moved it to Byrd Park.

The candidates were out in full force on Friday night for the cake and pie auction. In fact, most of the cakes and pies were bought by them. Proceeds benefited the fair.
