Joe, please don't forget about the boat parade, it's Sat night and a record number of boats and people are scheduled.

I never understand why they do this the same time as the boat parade. It would make sense for them to be at different times. They are both great events!

10:46 AM - No need to worry - people would much rather watch the boat parade than this same ole, same ole every year at the park.

It is one of Salisbury's nicest features. I am glad they do this every year.

I have to agree. They are the same lights that have been up for years and they are very, very boring. To be honest I never see anyone there to look at them.

Oh wonderful. Another opportunity for Jim Ireton to get his picture taken!

Is Obamalamadingdong going to sponsor the lights? Since they have nothing to do with our nation's "Christian heritage" which he is so against, he should foeward some stimulus money to Salisbury for the lights. I'm sure there's a way to skim a little of the money to fund the pet projects of many local government entities.

BTW, since the lights have nothing to do with Christmas, why the heck are they only displayed during this season? We've gone gender neutral, now we're politically neutral...as long as you have a socialist leaning.
