Obama To Unveil Plan To Add Troops In Afghanistan

WASHINGTON – War-weary Americans will support more fighting in Afghanistan once they understand the perils of losing, President Barack Obama declared Tuesday, announcing he was ready to spell out war plans virtually sure to include tens of thousands more U.S. troops.

He is expected to make his case to the nation in a Tuesday night speech, even as the military completes plans to begin sending in reinforcements in the spring.

Eight years after the Sept. 11 attacks led the U.S. into Afghanistan, Obama said it is still in America's vital national interest to "dismantle and destroy" al-Qaida terrorists and extremist allies. "I intend to finish the job," he said.

Obama said he would announce after Thanksgiving his decision on additional troops, and military, congressional and other sources said the occasion would be a Tuesday night televised speech laying out his plans for expanding the Afghan conflict — and then ultimately ending America's military role.

If we give up and QUIT in Afganistan they will declare victory. This is only going to motivate and embolden them. We have no choice but total victory for Afganistan.

Obama took 3 months to run this by his "team of 200 advisors" before making a decision. If Obama made the decision at all.
This guy is not qualified to be President and he examplifies that fact every day.
Remember the Hillary ad, who do you want to answer the phone at 3:00 A.M. ?
With Obama, that call is placed at 3:00 A.M. and he responds "I'll call you back in 3 months"
Could you imagine what this guy would be like when NORAD detects incoming missles from Iran?
I'll bet Iran is imagining!

The truth of the matter is the military couldn't wait for Obama anymore and had started the process of sending troops over their so he was pushed into a corner . What a leader ! NOT !

By all means we don't want to embolden citizens of their own country because we finally stopped murdering them.

We could of course just carpet bomb them into oblivion.

But then, there would be no poppies

I can't believe that he would take the time to see if this is the right move. He should have gone to war on falsified papers and called it a day. Are you all retarded?
