National security, Our brave men and woman have fought and died in Iraq and Afganistan for years and now our current leaders have decided to sit down and talk it out with Taliban tribal leaders. What kind of nonsense is this, did our solders die in vien, Isnt the taliban the largest supplier of herion in the world. What the hell are these politicians thinking.
Not completely accurate. The 49th is under the Army's command as part of the Army's Space and Missile Defense Command. As it is when a state guard unit is deployed, command is transfered to SMDC. Her briefings would be done because of troop activity in her state. These briefings would be similar to what a governor and congressional delegation would receive when DHS has a credible threat somewhere.
