How Come No One Ever Told Me?

You’ve been dispensing Tic Tacs the hard way.
You know how when you violently shake a container of Tic Tacs into your palm it seems as though you always end up with zero or seven? Avoid that altogether by letting a mint gently glide into the tiny lid crevice

You haven’t been using ketchup cups to their full potential.

Instead of grabbing multiple cups of ketchup, simply pull apart at the edges for twice the space.

Chinese takeout containers are actually made to fold out into plates

The containers actually are meant to unfold into a makeshift plate, which you can easily reassemble into a box for storing leftovers.

Greek yogurt containers are meant to be folded in half.

But, have you realized, the topping holder folds over, so you can pour the toppings DIRECTLY ON TOP?

Soda tabs double as straw holders.

You probably don’t realize it, but your pots come
with built-in spoon rests.

Soft-drink lids can double as coasters.

700 IRS CONTRACT WORKERS OWE $5.4M IN BACK TAXES

Nearly 700 employees of Internal Revenue Service contractors owe $5.4 million in back taxes, said a report Wednesday by the agency's inspector general.

More than half of those workers are supposed to be ineligible to do work for the IRS because they are not enrolled in installment plans to pay the taxes they owe.

Unlike other federal agencies, the IRS requires employees and those who work on agency contracts to comply with federal tax laws. That means they have to file returns on time and either pay all the taxes they owe or enroll in a payment plan.

More Than Half A Million People Lose Their Insurance Thanks To Obamacare - In Just 3 States

"If you like your current plan," tough noogies.

Throughout the Obamacare battle, the President's biggest - and most transparent - lie about as that "If you like your current plan, you can keep it." From day one, conservatives said that wasn't the case, but the White House and its left-wing media allies swore that it was true. We were told, again and again, that if you're happy the way things are, you probably wouldn't even notice a change.

Someone should explain that to the multitudes who have just had their insurance cancelled due to Obamacare's implementation.

For the last two months, insurance cancellation letters have been arriving at homes across the country, and some concrete numbers have started to trickle in. We now know that, across just three states, more than half a million people have lost their preferred coverage.

SS Checks & More

ON JANUARY 1, 2014, THE US GOVERNMENT WILL BE REQUIRING EVERYONE TO HAVE DIRECT DEPOSIT FOR SS CHECKS.

WONDER WHY?

Subject: HR 4646

Be sure to read entire explanation

Watch for this AFTER November elections; remember this BEFORE you VOTE.

A 1% tax on all bank transactions is what HR 4646 calls for.

Do you receive a paycheck, or a retirement check from Social Security or a pension fund and have it direct deposit??

This bill was put forth by Rep. Chaka Fattah (D-PA).

YES, that is 1% tax on all bank transactions - HR 4646, every time it goes in and every time money goes out.

Ask your congressperson to vote NO.

FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!

1% tax on all bank transactions ~ HR 4646 -ANOTHER NEW OBAMA TAX SLIPPED IN WHILE WE WERE ASLEEP. Checked this on snopes, it's true! Check it out yourself ~ HR 4646.

This is a 1% tax on all transactions at any financial institution - banks, credit unions, savings and loans, etc..Any deposit you make, or even a transfer within your own bank from one account to another, will have a 1% tax charged.

If your paycheck or your Social Security or whatever is direct deposit, it will get a 1% tax charged for the transaction.

If your paycheck is $1000, then you will pay the government $10 just for the privilege of depositing your paycheck in your bank. Even if you hand carry your paycheck or any check in to your bank for a deposit, 1% tax will be charged.

You receive a $5,000 stock dividend from your broker, the government takes $50 just to allow you to deposit that check in the bank.

If you take $1,000 cash to deposit at your bank, 1% tax will be charged.

Mind you, this is from the man who promised that, if you make under $250,000 per year, you will not see one penny of new tax.

Keep your eyes and ears open, you will be amazed at what you learn about this guy's under-the-table moves to increase the number of ways you are taxed.

Oh, and by the way, if you receive a refund from the IRS next year and you have it direct deposited or you walk in to deposit that check, you guessed it. You will pay a 1% charge of that money just for putting it in your bank.

Remember, any money, cash, check or whatever, no matter where it came from, you will pay a 1% fee if you put it in the bank.

Some will say, oh well, it's just 1%. Are you kidding me? It's a 1% tax increase across the board. Remember, once the tax is there, they can also raise it at will. And if anyone protests, they will just say, "Oh,that's not really a tax, it's a user fee"!

Think this is no big deal? Go back and look at the transactions you made from last year's banking statements. Then add the total of all those transactions and deduct 1%. Still think it's no big deal?

Bloomberg's Anti-Gun Group To Drop $1.1 Million For McAuliffe

Independence USA PAC, the pro-gun control group affiliated with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, is spending $1.1 million on advertisements supporting Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the final two weeks of his race to become Virginia’s next governor against Republican Attorney General Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II.

Politico reported that the ads in the D.C. area market will begin Tuesday and continue through the eve of the Nov. 5 election.

Mr. Cuccinelli’s campaign blasted the development.

“Terry McAuliffe and his allies are spending tens of millions of dollars in an attempt to buy Virginia’s governor’s mansion and impose an ideological agenda that will severely restrict Virginian’s Second Amendment rights, hike energy prices for Virginia families and undermine our right-to-work laws,” said Cuccinelli communications director Richard T. Cullen.

It’s not the first time that Mr. Bloomberg, who has spent more than $15 million on gun control initiatives, according to Politico, has dipped his toes into Virginia politics.

New Campaign Software Firm Seeks To Improve Ground Game In Md. Races

Herb Sweren and Barry Silverman worked in political campaigns for years as an avocation, while they pursued careers in marketing and advertising. But a couple of years ago, after working together on a Baltimore County campaign, they decided to put their professional skills and political experience into a business using the latest technology that could improve the ground game for state and local candidates.

This year they launched CampaignOn, which offers a package of software services that helps candidates identify voters, stay in touch with their supporters, get out the vote and track donations. On a national level, the get-out-the-vote efforts of the 2012 Obama reelection campaign assisted by technology and social media was considered a major factor in its success.

“We didn’t think there was a business model that put all these things in one affordable package” for state and local candidates, said Sweren, who spent years in tennis industry marketing and played roles in a number of mostly Democratic Baltimore County political campaigns.

France, Mexico Seek Answers After 'Shocking' US Spy Claims

AFP - France and Mexico have angrily demanded prompt explanations from the United States following "shocking" new spying allegations leaked by former US security contractor Edward Snowden.

The reports published in French daily Le Monde and German weekly Der Spiegel reveal that the US National Security Agency secretly monitored tens of millions of phone calls in France and hacked into former Mexican President Felipe Calderon's email account.

They come on top of revelations also leaked by Snowden and published in June that the US had a vast, secret programme called PRISM to monitor Internet users.

Gov’t & Finance Workers Tie for Lowest Unemployment Rate

Americans working for the government and in the finance industry had the lowest unemployment rates in September, according to data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In both industries the rate was 3.9%.

The unemployment rates in agriculture (9.4 percent) and in construction (8.5 percent) were more than twice the unemployment rates in government and finance.

"There Will Be No Place To Hide" - Markets Are Over 50% More "Exuberant" Than In 1996

"It is really going to end badly," is the ominous warning that Damien Cleusix has issued to his clients as he believes we are now reaching the top of the secular bull market. Crucially, he sees US stock markets as "grossly over-valued" but that it is hidden from most people's perceptions because (just as in 2000 and 2007) there are marginal sectors that make the 'aggregate' seem reasonable (not to mention the dreams of forward earnings.) His novel approach of a point-in-time Price-to-Sales comp shows the median valuation its highest in 23 years.. and Alan Greenspan's infamous "exuberance" valuations in 1996 were 40% below current levels of elation. Today, the big difference with 2000 and 2007 is that government and central banks have already spend a lot of firing power to "make believe" that everything is fine again. He concludes, "there will be no place to hide when the tide turns."

Via Damien Cleusix,

It is really going to end badly...

What if we are indeed only now reaching the top of the secular bull market... What if

It is no secret that we view the US stock markets as grossly over-valued. In recent meetings, as in the Spring of 2007, we have insisted that not only are markets more overvalued than what they seem, the overvaluation is also general. Ed Easterling wrote a provocative article not long ago on the subject [11]. Those who have read his two books, "Unexpected Returns" and "Probable Outcome" know the quality of his research.

In 2000 while TMT companies were reaching absurd valuation, small caps and quality value stocks where cheap. Remember that Berkshire Hathaway made its low the same day as the Nasdaq made its top or the same month as Julian Robertson, one of the best value stock picker of history, liquidated his fund.

In 2007, the overvaluation was general but here again you had a sector distorting the various valuation ratios - financial companies. In the bear market that ensued, nobody who was long, even the best conservative value stock pickers, made money if they were long-only. There was carnage.

Today our contention is that markets are more overvalued than in 2007.

EXPERTS CONCLUDE: LIMBAUGH PLAN BETTER THAN OBAMA'S STIMULUS

In 2009, at the height of debate about President Barack Obama's stimulus plan, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh proposed a compromise in the pages of the Wall Street Journal that would have devoted half the stimulus to tax cuts. Now, a new working paper by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) concludes that Limbaugh was right, at least in terms of that portion of the stimulus that was directed to state governments.

The paper, by Gerald Carlino and Robert P. Inman, finds that "ARRA [American Recovery and Reinvestment Act] assistance would have been 30 percent more effective in stimulating GDP growth had the share spent on government purchases and project aid been fully allocated to private sector tax relief and to matching aid to states for lower-income support." In other words: tax cuts and cash transfers would have been better.

Is Governor O'Malley Stealing From Orphans?

How Maryland robs its most vulnerable children

The state has long taken foster children's disability and survivor benefits without notifying themTry this on for size: The Maryland agency overseeing foster care has been appropriating foster children's assets — orphaned children's survivor benefits, for example — and handing them over to the state.

There's more: Not only does this agency take assets from children, but Gov. Martin O'Malley and the head of the Maryland Department of Human Resources encourage the practice, going so far as to hire a private company to help obtain Social Security disability (SSI) and survivor benefits (SSDI) from foster children to use as government revenue.

Children's Social Security benefits are intended to serve the children's best interests, not to pay the state back for foster care. But our foster care agency is targeting abused and neglected children who are disabled or have dead parents, applying for Social Security benefits on their behalf — and then diverting the money to state coffers. The practice has been occurring for years, but in secret. Children and their lawyers are not notified.

$80 Million For Armed Guards For IRS

What is federal government preparing for?
(INFOWARS) — The Department of Homeland Security is set to spend $80 million dollars on hiring a raft of armed guards to protect IRS and other government buildings in upstate New York during “public demonstrations” and “civil disturbances,” once again prompting concerns that the federal agency is preparing for food stamp riots, anti-tax demonstrations or some other form of domestic unrest.

According to a solicitation posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website, the Federal Protective Service (a unit of the DHS), is looking for a contractor to supply armed Protective Security Officers (PSOs) to guard a variety of government buildings in the region, including “IRS buildings(s) during tax season.”

W.Va. Chicken Farmer Wins EPA Lawsuit Over Runoff

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has no legal right to force a West Virginia poultry grower to obtain water pollution permits for runoff from her Hardy County farm because it is routine stormwater discharge, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey said litter and manure washed by rain into Chesapeake Bay tributaries at Lois Alt's Hardy County farm is agricultural runoff, not a fixed pollution source such as a factory. That means it's exempt from the requirement that it be permitted and regulated under the federal Clean Water Act, he said.

"The term `agricultural stormwater discharge' was not and has not been defined in the statute" covering permitting, Bailey wrote. "The fact that Congress found it unnecessary to define the term indicates that the term should be given its ordinary meaning."

The EPA initially threatened to fine Alt if she didn't seek a permit for her farm, which it called a "concentrated animal feeding operation." After Alt sued last year, EPA withdrew the fines. In March, it offered to dismiss the case.

But the American Farm Bureau Federation and the West Virginia Farm Bureau joined Alt in keeping the case alive, arguing it had economic implications for farmers nationwide.
