Amazon fired back at Joe Biden on Friday after presumptive Democratic presidential nominee told the company it needs "to pay its fair share" in taxes.
The former vice president not only declared that Amazon must "pay its fair share," but he claimed the company pays less in taxes than firefighters and teachers.
"I've said it before, and I'll say it again: No company pulling in billions of dollars in profits should pay a lower tax rate than firefighters and teachers. It's time for Amazon to pay its fair share," Biden said.

In all fairness neither Amazon, nor any other employer, actually pays payroll taxes. They just deduct it from their employees paychecks and pass it along to the feds and the states.
I say nobody including Politians with a net worth of over $1.5 million should be paying their fair share. Pelosi and the Democrats believe they should not have to pay more unless they "make" more than $5 million. So Democrats need to get real and pay their fair share that they want corporations to pay.
The man is clueless. The worst part is that somebody in his clique who might get paid to think told him to say it and with his vast experience and knowledge of all things, he didn't think twice before blurting out something that AOC might say and actually believe.
Just think, if AOC hadn't put her personal monkey wrench in the gears leading to a distribution center in her district, that district would be sharing those billions of tax dollars, have a few thousand more people working and paying income tax (among a dozen other taxes in NY), and have a feather in her cap for helping to make it happen.
ALL BIG companys pay less than WE do !!!! Nothing New !!!
How much does Biden Pay ????
Joe needs to pay his tax on his and Hunters dirty corrupted and stolen Ukrainian and China money.
Two idiots, one a socialist, one leaning whichever way the Democrats' fan is blowing.
The "fair share" remark is worn-out empty rhetoric used to incite class envy.
6:29 you are a moron. That payroll tax deducted from the employee's salary is matched by the employer. Please keep your mouth shut and let people think you are stupid instead of opening your mouth and remove all doubt.
Seems you are a moron also 8:46 AM - the reg. payroll tax deducted from the employees salary is NOT matched by the employer. So you opened your mouth and removed all doubt. I have done payroll taxes most of my working life so I DO KNOW what I am talking about. Employer Payroll Taxes
Companies are responsible for paying their portion of payroll taxes. These taxes are an added expense over and above the expense of an employee's gross pay. The employer portion of payroll taxes includes the following:
Social Security taxes of 6.2% up to the annual maximum2
Medicare taxes of 1.45% of wages3
Federal unemployment taxes (FUTA)
State unemployment taxes (SUTA)
