Chick-Fil-A Orders Values to Go

If the last 24 hours have proven anything about Chick-fil-A, it’s this: It was never about the chicken.

For millions of Americans, there was a much deeper significance behind every decision to pull in the parking lot and walk through those doors. It wasn’t about the menu. It wasn’t even about the service. It was that every time someone ate there, they were making a cultural statement. Chick-fil-A was a business, yes. But it was also a giant rebuttal of everything the bullies stood for. Until it wasn’t.

Maybe that’s why people are in such denial. They don’t want to believe that the place where they felt at home, the place they’d put on a pedestal and invested so much personal capital, betrayed them.

Deep down, I think we all want to explain away Chick-fil-A’s decision. It’s a lot easier than the alternative, which is accepting and grieving the fact that this company—a brave holdout for so many years—is running away from the people and principles that made them who they are.

Pushing that under the rug may feel better in the short-term, but it’s not an option for anyone who understands the long-term implications of waving a white flag on God’s truth. For us, this isn’t a gray area. The decision to desert these groups is a radical departure from biblical teaching.

Now, some of you might argue that walking away from the Salvation Army or Fellowship of Christian Athletes isn’t an endorsement of an LGBT agenda. But it is exactly that. And here’s why. Chick-fil-A didn’t just switch its giving practices, it broadcasted it.

First the gays and lose the endorsements. Then the Atheist, will be wanting Sunday hours. The question is, "Who is dumber?" The Left will never stop until Chic-fil-A shutters its' doors. Quit playing for these bottom-feeders. Their minds are twisted, and, they are dangerous as a vampire always wanting more blood. Brace UP Chicks and others. Fight the fiends of doom. They won't be happy until you become a loser as they.

I won't be going there. If it was McDonald's or any other rot gut joint, you would shrug it off, and think that's typical for those corporate assholes. But when you take a stance like Chic- fil-a did in the past, and then have some of the biggest sales ever because of it, and THEN back step like this, it's noticed big time. That's right, It's not all about the chicken in this situation.

So disappointed. I generally do not eat fast food but stood in line to support their (Chik-fil-A) efforts. I am disappointed that the tail keeps wagging the dog. What would happen if we said NO to LGBTQ or atheists? What??? Christians, straight, every day man, woman, and child have rights too and I dare say we are the majority.

I have eaten their product on the road. It's OK. What is more impressive than their Moral stand is they actually proffer their employees a modern and respectable benefits package and tuition incentives for what most would consider an entry level go no where job. That philosophy alone is more charitable than any Christian Charity they may be affiliated with. Charity begins at home. Many businesses think they are doing the underprivileged a favor just giving them a sub living wage job and expecting them to count their empty blessings. I could care less about their morals or the political stance of the talents they tap to keep their business growing. I know many felt like it was a safe and compliant bastion for their beliefs but there is more to business and Charity than that. It's just fast food after all and the food itself is not that great but they have gotten a lot of mileage and dollars out of their philosophy.

I don't see a chance in their stance. I see a realization that all people are equal regardless of race, gender, or any other difference. I'm sure that they thought this out pretty well and realized that they were not following in Jesus's footsteps.
