TV special glosses over the truth behind JFK Jr.’s doomed flight

This year marks the 20th anniversary of John F. Kennedy Jr.’s fatal flight. Three days in and already the hagiographic retellings have begun.

“The Last Days of JFK Jr.,” a two-hour special promising new details and new interviews under the ABC News banner, aired Thursday night. Not only did the program soft-pedal Kennedy’s complete and utter fault for the crash but it got crucial details wrong — claiming that the FAA said flying conditions that night were “excellent” (according to the National Transportation Safety Board review of the crash, they were extremely poor, and JFK Jr. would have known it), and that his flight instructor was unavailable that night to fly with him. In fact, the NTSB report said one of Kennedy’s instructors did offer to fly with him, but Kennedy said no, that “he wanted to do it alone.”

Philosophically, though, there’s a much more malignant problem here: the continued idolatry of all things Kennedy, the media’s reluctance or outright refusal to acknowledge the clan’s dark and sometimes criminal side, and — when she’s not been villainized as the cause of all John’s woes, if not the fatal accident — the perfunctory treatment of Carolyn in this narrative.

I saw the same show and did not get from it the same impression you did. It did point out through friends and a flight instructor that Kennedy took the flight and was responsible for the accident even though the weather was extremely bad he persisted in going. His sister in-law delayed the flight, and his wife very much wanted to go, plus he was wearing a boot post surgery on one foot. I don't think anything was covered up it was a very frank show good and bad.

ther's old pilots and bold pilots but no old bold pilots. Kennedy was a novice and paid for it!

His arrogance got the best of him.

The other thing about this tragic flight that's missing from the article, is the Hillary Clinton connection.

Wasn't John Jr being groomed for the New York senate seat in the 2000 election, the same one Hillary won? Could Hillary win a NY senate race against JFK,Jr? Probably not.

Perhaps just another coincidence, but dead bodies seem to follow the Clinton's.

Who cares?? His ENTIRE family are cursed. WHY?? Because they aren't good people.

Worth checking into, not that anything would actually happen if the clintons were involved.

Look Simpletons,
The Clintons don’t actually DO anything.
They are politicians.
Puppets.

It is the financiers of their campaigns who are the power behind the Clintons. The Clintons work for these families. The families run the intelligence agencies around the world. They are globalists, not Americans. They have homes throughout the world. Fabulously wealthy.

Get it?

He was a low-time, marginally competent pilot who got into conditions that were challenging beyond his skills. Ended up killing himself and two others. Sad, but not that uncommon in the private pilot ranks.

Not the first time a Clinton enemy died in a plane crash.

Didn’t Vince Foster commit suicide by shooting himself in the back of the head? Lots have died around the Clintons and she could not beat John Kennedy which would have ended her career!
