The angry clashes, both in Paris and other towns and cities across the country, mark the eighth day of “yellow jacket” protests against the tax, but have also come to encompass a growing anger against Macron and the French ruling class -- seen by many as out of touch.
The yellow jackets have become a uniform of sorts for the protesters, originating from the neon yellow jackets French drivers are required to keep in their vehicles.
Authorities said that at least 8,000 protesters flooded the Champs-Elysees in Paris alone, with 81,000 protesters in total nationwide compared to 244,000 last Saturday. Police deployed some 3,000 security forces after an attempt to march on the Elysee Palace last week.

What is sad is how stupid the cops are, not knowing or understanding they are being used as pawns and they will get hurt or even killed for these politicians words and laws... What is equally sad is how cops have no morals or ethics and will follow any order giving, even when they know they shouldn't and that once this is all over with they too will be treated unfairly and tossed aside like everyone else...
But that is their problem since they want to learn the hard way... They fail to realize the population out numbers them at any given time, and if the all chose to stand up and fight back, nothing the cos can do...

Wow - you must really dislike cops. Next time someone breaks into your house you make sure you call your protesters. I guess you feel the same for military. Just so you can have your freedoms. Like buying an Apple phone for thousands. Now that is stupid
I'm glad to see it because Macron was an ass when our President visited his country. No respect. He deserves it.
